On February 4th, Impact Research and Rocket XL presented at a webinar specially organized by the Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA) for 80 of its members who had opted to participate. The session focused on the findings and implications of a wide-reaching study conducted by People from Cossette on the use of, and attitudes toward, social media in Canada, the U.S. and UK.
We examined how people look, react, contribute and share content through real-time web and mobile access. How useful is user-generated brand content? Is advertising still important? How are canadians different from americans? The session gave a better understanding of why social media may be right for your company and a better idea of how to craft an effective social media strategy.
The presenters were Luc-André Cormier, Vice-president product and research at Cossette Media and Impact Research. He was joined by Ian Barr, Managing director at Rocket XL, the social media division of People from Cossette. Since 2002, Rocket XL has developed hundreds of social media marketing strategies for some of the world’s biggest brands, including Nike, Dove, United Nations, EA Games, Focus Features and Bombay Sapphire.
