JUNGLE Media Launches in Toronto
IKEA signs on as the media agency’s first new client

Toronto, April 16, 2010 – JUNGLE Media, a new media planning and buying operation, has opened in Toronto. JUNGLE Media is the first new marketing services venture to launch in Canada under the newly restructured ownership of Cossette, which was privatized late last year.

JUNGLE Media, which has been set up as a stand-alone media agency, opens its doors with a new client – IKEA Canada.

“We are absolutely delighted to be able to announce the launch of JUNGLE Media and our first new client, IKEA, at the same time,” says Sheri Metcalfe, JUNGLE Media VP and Co-Managing Director. “IKEA is a world-class brand and synonymous with many of the qualities that will define the JUNGLE Media brand as well, namely innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.”

Metcalfe moves to JUNGLE Media from Cossette Media along with colleague Cindy Drown. Metcalfe and Drown share duties as JUNGLE Media VPs and Co-Managing Directors.

Cossette Media, Cossette’s award-winning media operation, will continue to provide media planning and buying services for Cossette clients as part of Cossette’s full-service, multi-disciplinary offering.

Terry Horton, who has been sharing VP Associate Media Director duties of Cossette Media with Metcalfe and Drown, has been promoted to VP Media Director of Cossette Media in Toronto.
