PEOPLE FROM COSSETTE stands up against poverty in downtown Montreal
PEOPLE FROM COSSETTE took part in the Stand Against Poverty event Friday at lunchtime. This international event organized by the United Nations was set up in 2006 so that each year citizens would remind their leaders of the commitment to donate 0.7% of the GDP to eradicate poverty by 2015. A formal commitment was signed by 189 countries, including Canada, during the Millennium Summit in 2000.

Canadians, especially Quebecers, think they are MUCH greener than they really are
Canadians are not practising what they preach when it comes to their environmental commitments, according to new research commissioned by People from Cossette and Summerhill. The study, which measured the gap between how “green” Canadians think they are versus what they actually do, shows a considerable “Green Gap” of as high as 40 per cent between self-perception and the real actions needed to improve the environment. The Green Gap measured behaviours across six categories, including energy, food, recycling, re-using, fuel efficiency and preference for green products.

Cossette Partners with the University of Ottawa to Establish a Research Centre
Cossette Communication Group, in conjunction with the University of Ottawa, has set up the Cossette University Research Centre (CURC) with the goal of advancing research in advertising. Over the course of the next five years, Cossette will support this partnership by working closely with Luc Dupont, renowned advertising and communications expert and professor in the Communications Department at the University of Ottawa.
